Parking ticket from VCS

Hiya,

I'm a new member to this forum and have been reading through the stickys at the top of the page to see if it can answer my question.
I got a parking ticket from vcs on saturday night, down a private road at 10.30 at night. I was parked for 30mins and they have charged me £80 which I think is completely wrong as there were no double yellow lines and the signs weren't particularly well illuminated.

I have obviously read through other experiences and from what I can tell is the best tactic to ignore ignore ignore? They don't know who the driver was and I was wondering shall I just ignore this and not tell them and can I just expect a barrage of letters and notices?

Anyway all help would be much appreciated,

You have answered your own question. Just ignore them. It's as simple as that.

Stop and think for a moment what damages the landowner would have suffered for your trespass onto his/her private road that late at night. It would be zero. Car parking management at its best?? 10.30 at night a quite road there must be a lot of abuse going on! Or is it a nice little earner?

Anyway ignore VCS and their silly colourful letters!
