                    hello
I'm new to this so bear with me lol
My partner has 3 children, all of whom have turned 18. None of them go to college.
She rents a house through a housing association and has always been able to claim tax credits/child benefits until recently.
She works full time but not a big wage though it is above the minimum wage.
Since last month all her tax credits have now stopped and she is struggling to pay her bills and rent.
Is there any help or benefits she could possibly apply for to help her out?
Many thanks in advance.

Are the children working or claiming JSA, as she needs to get themn to help out with rent money.
If they are low income she needs to claim for them as non-dependents on low income on her housing benefit and CTB. They will assume that they all contribute a set amount to the rent and contribute to the CT unless told otherwise.
if she works over 30 hours a week, she may be able to claim wtc.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

            HI
2 of them are working through an agency so not earning a great deal. I shall mention that to her. Thank you0

They will want to see copies of recent pay slips from the two workers and evidence of the lack of income of the other ex-child. I assume they are claiming JSA, if not kick them hard?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Get the children to pay rent?
Get a better paid job? Or get an additional part-time job?

If she's working full time she might still be able to claim working tax credit, even if the child tax credit has finished.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

There is no replacement benefit, her children are now non dependant adults and should now be paying thier own way in life.
She should of prepared for this a few years back.
Not good for me being disabled, but an example, a friend of mine has 2 girls, one just started the big school and one 2 years above, my friend works part time, but as from next year she hopes to go full time, so when her girls have finished school there shouldn't be any shocks to loosing benefits..0
