Strawberry plants
Hi, i was just wondering when the correct time is to cut down your strawberry plants to allow new growth, and how to cut them down as mine are currently getting quite long and leggy (Both leaves and 1m long runners)
*Edit* Also, when would be the best time to stop potting runners from them?
Thanks!

im no expert but as far as i know you should be cutting them back now to avoid any infections ect ect setting in, ive cut mine , well gone over them with the lawnmower, think it was on gardeners world last week so if you wanted to double check maybe it will still be on their website. Im sure im right, also the runners that you potted on should be just fine now and be able to cope with out their mums support so you could cut off the runner, needs to be planted asap to let the roots get going before winter. xxxneed to pay my dad back challenge[STRIKE]£3000: £2950: £2750: £2640:£2560:£1560[/STRIKE]:D £0.00:D
