Weigh them and look at Seajays' postal calculator site or RM.

Norway is counted as Europe even though it's not in the EU. I don't think you need a customs form either as it is in the EEA.

You need to fill in a customs declaration for all non uk parcels.

Actually not for European destinations. The scandanavian countries are always the ones that get me and I have to double check- some require a CN22 and some do not.

Not for destinations in the 27 EU countries, surely?!

  • Norway is not in the EU and when I complete my international post RM list it as ROW.

Also as far as CN22 customs. Rule of thumb is that you don't need them to EU countries but do to the rest of world ROW.

But as ever there are exceptions:

Countries which do NOT require CN22
Austria Belgium Bulgaria Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Italy Latvia Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands Poland Portugal Romania Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden

Countries which DO require a CN22
Countries outside of the EU. Including: Channel Islands - Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Sark Andorra Canary Islands Gibraltar San Marino Vatican City State.

theonlywayisup- I've been caught out by the Vatican City before now as well! However virtually all my non UK post goes via paypal postage and the advantage of that is that it tells me when I need a CN22 and when I don't, if I had to rely on my geographic knowledge I would be doomed.

  • Me too. Luckily the RM software I use tells me ROW or EU with a snazzy EU* whereby the * means I have to remember CN22. CI catch me out more often than not, even though I know they do! Doh!
