Plus I really need quick replies.

I'm at this moment applying to SAAS online. Student Awards Agency for Scotland. I start my course again tomorrow, and although it's late as I've been on holiday, I need to get past this part and i'm stuck to send it away.

I live at home with my parents. I have a part time job that pays me £5 per hour. They don't give me any money and we don't get any benefits.

Nobody is in the house right now. And this part says...

**If you are single and exempt from parents' contribution... You do not need to complete income details. Click on the 'Review and Submit' button.

OR
**Your parents, or husband, wife, partner, parent's partner or stepparent must give us details of their income if you want to apply for income-assessed support (this can include part of the loan and the Bursary).
Which one am I comptable with? Please help :(

There is a student board where you may get better answers.

You are not exempt from parents contributions unless you are over 25 or have been financially independent for some time I think.

Do they earn too much for you to get a grant (as opposed to a loan?) If they are not quite well off and you do not complete their income details you may miss out on a chunk of loan this year.

New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.
  • the 2nd one. you are a dependant of your parents unless you are a mature student so they are expected to contribute

The SECOND option. I made the mistake of clicking the first and got practically nothing from them and they wouldn't change it!

  • It must be the second one. I'm not 25 yet. Or at mature student. Thanks :)
