Hi, My wife applied for Santander account on friday, Any ideal how long it takes for a decision email to come through? Thanks

    she might regret it, Santander are the most incompetent bankers of all time.

    Not many people on here will give them the time of day.

    If its just a run of the mill account, it may be fine, but dont ask them to actually do anything.

    They, as sure as eggs is eggs will make a mess of it.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.
  • I only picked them as it was a side account for Matched betting and they were offering £33 on top cash back for signing up.. as it will only be transfering in and out of bookies/ my proper current account I thought I may aswell get paid to open an account lol

    I must admit I was giving them the benefit of the doubt but am starting to wonder. It doesn't help that their complaints department doesn't appear to have any "resolving" ability more of a "complaint data capture" for compliance purposes.

    Hi,

    It's a maximum of 5 working days to receive the email. You'll get an email requesting further ID, telling you the account is open or a letter telling you its declined.

    If you haven't heard anything within 5 working days give the app tracking team a call on 08456033507 and they'll be able to track it. They'll need to speak to her in order to do that thought!
