    Hi

Just to let everyone know that I reported this to the police and has been going through due process. Had a call recently saying that guy has been arrested and is on bail for other similar occurrances (tens of) and is likely to be rearrested based based on my statement. I am still not sure if I will get my money back but at least this guys actions are hopefully not catching up with him. Police say I could take civil action if the court does not aware compensation( which may happen if the guy gets a jail term which I am told is quite possible if found guailty given the number of offences) - dont know what people's experience of such processes are and how likely they are to lead to repayment.

So worth reporting things like this - if only it stops other people being caught by the same scam.

    David
  • many thanks for the update, greatly appreciated
The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.
  • Good luck with getting your money back - it must be a nice feeling to know that you've stopped him, but even nicer to actually not be out of pocket as a result as well!

Could I just say,I believe there is a form requestion compensation, which in certain types of cases, needs to be filled in,and submitted with the case file. You need to check this out.If it isnt filled in,when it should be..However,you cant get blood out of a stone.

Could I also be nosy and ask what the draw was that drew you to make this purchase? Was it a lot cheaper than usual?
  • You poor thing you!! What a horrendous experience you have had. I call it the "what's yours is mine and I'm going to have it" syndrome, and it just makes me hopping mad that there are such low life scum out there.

Hope you and he get everything you both deserve, but not necessarily the same thing!!
