Credit Score - When Certain Items Leave

I am not sure where I am to put this, so if Mods see fit, can you please move it?
I recently checked my credit file to make sure everything was upto date etc.
I had a loan which finished in October last year. It was a 48month loan I had. In the first year of the loan, I missed 2 payments which have been rightly listed on my credit file.
IIRC after 6 years the loan information will be removed from my credit file. Is this correct?
Does it wait until 6 years after the completion date? I.e showing items from 6 Years + 48months?
Just curious more than anything, I obviously have this blip on my credit file and want to know when it will be gone? Since then I have never missed a payment on anything.

Hi, all items stay on for 6 years once settled so it should be 6 years from the month of your last payment. Was there a specific reason you missed payments that would be worth seeing if you can add a note to your record?
I have credit cards that are due to come off the report in November so will be keeping an eye on that!0 -
Ah thanks.
It was a case of late payments, not missed payments. I changed company and got paid differently and I was basically a bit silly not checking.0
