where do i stand if price drops from full to half after a day of buying item

I was wondering if i buy an item at full price then the price drops the next day would i be able to get the difference back from a supermarket store.

Although most large stores have their own returns policy, return the item and buy at new price?0 -
Try it. You never know they may say yes.
But the other flip of the coin is - what if the price had increased and the supermarket wanted more money off you?The man without a signature.0 -
Where would you stand if you paid i.e £100 for an item and next day it was £150.

I wouldn't have thought so. After all if the price had increased you would hardly be going to the supermarket and offering to pay the difference.
If the item is not fresh produce and you have your receipt you may be able to return it for a refund and then buy it again at the cheaper price.

If it was an online purchase then you could reject it under DSR within 7 days and get a refund. But not for in-store purchases.0
