Answer phone and caller ID

Hi
I currently have Bt line rental and sky talk. I have two queries:
1- At the moment i have 1571 and BT charges me something every quarter for it. If i get a cordless phone with built in answer phone do i still pay 1571 charges?
2- If the phone has caller ID, do i have to pay some money to BT to use this feature?

1. You can dump 1571 and not pay for it any longer its all explained here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=3666273&postcount=3
2. You will have to pay for caller display because as your calls are with Sky you cant place any through BT to make the appropriate number to get the facility free.0
