anyone used kobalt computers?

can spec up a really nice laptop for good money, but has anyone got/used one? just wonder the long term prospects for it, comes with 2 year warranty so they must be pretty confident i suppose!

haha, true - can only find reviews that say the build time is slow sometimes but quality is good - then again most of those reviews are on their own fourms!

Check via an independent source like PCPro Magazine. Chillblast are very good.

yes i can use google - i have asked if anyone here has dealt with them personally and what the build is like
i said i have read about the delivery/build times - but thanks for the really useful reply anyway

yeah have heard of chillblast before but they don't seem to offer notebooks - if it was a desktop i would just buy the bits myself!

I have had one of their laptops for around 3 years.

It's an awesome bit of kit.

Back when I got mine, their customer service was excellent, even if lead times were around 1 month, it was worth the wait.

I've had a few minor issues which were always dealt with quickly and they were always responsive to emails and telephone calls.

However.... Since May I have been trying to get a broken hinge replaced on the screen with little luck. Their telephone lines don't work, it takes them anywhere between 3 days and 5 weeks to reply to an email.. all in all, they have become a joke.

I'd avoid them at all costs!

Cheers, ended up going for something else in the end, couldn't get any real life pics of one so decided that given the lead in times/ customer service issues i wouldn't buy something i couldn't see before paying and waiting for a few months!
