Time to ditch the debt!

Ok, it's a day or so early, but wanted to update my status as I got rid of Virgin today. They gave me the run around on the phone trying to persuade me not to close my account (just keep it as an emergency card, you've 0% on purchases until April!), but I stood my ground and had much fun cutting up another card.

It also means I'm now sub £5k!! :beer::beer:

I'm giving myself a break for a month (get Xmas out of the way) and start afresh on my last bit of debt in the New Year - not that I won't be paying any off, just won't be trying to pay any extra this month.

Hope everyone enjoyed the festive season. well as predicted I did nothing with regard to the debt, except the standard DDs, although it was nice that there weren't so many taking money out of my account this time around! Again I'm not going to do anything extra this month re: debt, instead I'm going to do a Money makeover and sort through my old paperwork, so i can plan to get this debt gone by the end of the year.

Feb has been and gone (nearly!) in a flash and I haven't done half the things I planned to this month, including finishing my money makeover :mad: So this will move into March. I've also rejoined a gym for 12 months, so this will take a few pounds away from being put into my debt, but I feel I'm on the final stretch now and can afford to do so - get myself physically fit aswell as financially!!

Slightly early as I'm away for the weekend. Debt-wise going ok, everything else has come to a stop - I've realised my job is just v busy at the moment so is having to take priority. Hopefully in a couple of months it should ease off and I can get back into other things.

A year ago it was pretty much the same as I was getting married - can't believe how much has happened in 12 months - wedding, redundancy, new job and nearly a £10k dent in my debt! Who knows what the next 12 months might bring... as long as it includes debt freedom!
