Turned down for Natwest Mortgage...HELP!!!

It most definately shouldnt be this stressful, or they should at least give away free hair dye to cover the greys Ive accumulated!!! What should be happening next then? Am I right in thinking the solicitors will start the ball rolling now?
Also, the solicitor that my broker advised me to use is quite expensive (but cheaper than what the EA she is based in recommended) they have the property details, is it still worthwhile getting another quote or will that just mess everything up? Ive been on tenterhooks with the mortgage approval so really dont want any more unnecessary delays??
I would shop around, personally I would use a local sol, it is easier to pop in and chase if required, ask people for recommendations, also remember that they have to be on your banks panel, we spoke to 5 and one just clicked, I did have a bit of a whinge about her, but think that was just nerves lol, she was fab and really worked hard for us ( her assistant was very approachable and helped with all sorts of questions and always rung back ), they weren't the cheapest, around the mid range I think, but as I said when I rang they seemed the most friendly, approachable and helpful, didn't just quote but ran through and explained everything.0 -
thanks for the replies!! Im just worried that if I start to shop around and dont continue with the solicitor that has all the property details then surely it will delay things even more! I really dont want anymore delays unless absolutely necessary and I think maybe saving £100 although would be brilliant really isnt worth delaying things! What do you guys think?.....Member of the £2 savers club
