tesco price match refund query

Had some shopping delivered this morning.Had ordered
2 boxes of Tesco Pinot Grigio 3 ltr = £26.66

They subbed it with 1 box of Raffio Pinot Grigio 3 ltr £18.99

Surely they should have subbed with 2 boxes of Raffio Pinot Grigio.

Unfortunately wasnt in at the time of delivery. So where do I stand as feel ripped off when I ordered a box of wine for £13.33 (x2) and they sub it with something so much more expensive £18.99 and only give me 1.

Well you can keep it, or take it back. Personally I would call head office as they have clearly done it to avoid giving you "the diffrence" in price back

OP, have they not just subbed one of the boxes? They should have done. They should refund the price of one of them.

They once substituted some frozen fish for me. I'd ordered 2 boxes of 4 pieces (Tesco's own). They sent me 2 boxes of 2 pieces (Birds Eye) that were more expensive. I rang them up, and they refunded me the price of one of the boxes that I'd ordered, so I still got my 4 pieces for the price of 4, rather than for the price of 8.

I sent a query to the via Online@Tesco.co.uk and now got a message saying I will be refunded £7.67 . Guess this is just the difference between one box of tesco pino and one box of Raffio Pino, even though I orginally ordered 2 boxes of tesco pino. Oh well. Will have to learn to be at home when the shopping is delivered.


Edit: Ooops its not. Its £26.66 (2 boxes of Tesco pino) minus £18.99 (one box of raffio pino).
