PCW insurance missed payment

i know this isnt the right forum but im not quitre sure where is should go

ok i got a computer two years ago, longer, maybe 2 and a half

wel basically we were talked into getting the insurance on it as well

i know we shouldnt have but it seemed like a good idea at the time

it was in my name, but paid for in my mums credit card

well

my mum had problems with the card (basically halifax were being funny, so she cancelled the card)

we forgot abouut the payment, and it bounced (obviously)

anyway

ii got a letter about it. long long time ago, possibly 6 months sayng that it had bounced

i put it down and forgot all about it

the letter said that if i wanted to contiute the insurance i should provide alternative details

obvioulsy i have no done this

i remembered ab out this today

i dont reall see much the point of the insurance now, it is almost 3 years old this ocmputer, so if something major happened it would probably be replaced, (will be replaced next year i would imagine assuming that theres no big problems this year!)

what should i do? if i ring up PCW will they want full payment for evey month that i have missed? should i ring up and offically cancel?

will this badly affect mine (or my mums credit?)

im just thinking because id imagine that i would need morgage in a year or 2,

PS - no other history of missed payments

I would imagine that they have cancelled the insurance for non-payment. You are unlikely to be able to restart this specific insurance as it has lapsed.

As to affecting your credit rating, have a read of THIS article by Martin and it should help.
