Hi Everyone,
I am new to this and not very good with computers.
I need some advice please. I have a 20 year old son. He has autism and dyspraxia, plus a couple of other problems. He has been getting DLA at high for personal care and low rate for mobility. The people at the DLA, now want him to see a GP to see if he still needs DLA. My son does not really like doctors too much and at times, he can come across as not having any problems. I have been told the appointment will last about 10 mins. What will the doctor be looking for during this period? It is quite a short time and I am worried my son will for that period come across as not having problems, when the reality is, he has alot of problems. It was difficult enough getting a diagnoses in the first place and then getting help for him at school. Any advice here would be so helpful. My son does not cope with life too well, but as I say, he can sometimes, for short periods come across as alright.
Thank you so much.

ensure you can be at the appointment with him for a start, to prompt him
perhaps post this on the disability board as you may get more replies from there0
