Has anybody had success in selling their property privately and if so do you have any advice/tips or know of any websites that don't charge a listing fee or a commission when sold?

You mean you're unwilling to either pay an upfront fee, nor a fee at time of sale, so essentially you want to use someone else's website for free?0

When I was thinking of selling a few years ago I stuck a property on Gumtree initially - expect lots of silly offers and people wanting to exchange etc
I did get a good tenant through an ad though....Neil0

There must be a website somewhere where you can list and sell your property for free, because just think of all the traffic and advertising revenue it would generate
In fact, thanks Googler, if I can't find one, I might just set one up myself!!0

Put a sign in your garden. Save money by using a tatty piece of cardboard. Use marker pens.
 Replace after heavy rain.0
