Asda Magic interview.....

  • My one-to-one was more of an informal chat really.

My manager did ask where I saw myself in 5 years time though. Apart from that it was really just about going through contracted hours, induction, start date etc etc.

    All the best!!
  • P.S

We had to make a house of cards incorporating cuddly toys etc.

All about team work blah blah ;)
  • Mine was to 'sell' some cleaning stuff and to introduce the guy next to me. I feel sorry for him as he had to do me.

    :D

BTW, I just chased your display picture around my laptop thinking there was an insect on my screen lmao ;)

Hope you didn't try to kill the poor thing :p
Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

I really wouldnt worry her lack of response says more about her then you, in my experience they look for people that are comfortably chatty but not too over the top, Its a very team based company and as the saying goes there is no I in team.

I agree, I don't think having a shy partner will reflect badly on you, if they see that you've made the effort to find out information I think that owuld be more than enough.
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Attended one yesterday and not that difficult. After 41 years in NHS as a senior manager I thought I knew what would happen, role play, and would like to give you a few tips.
A sense of humour(the first attribute of a successful manager) is NOT appreciated.
Do not assume the role of a team leader in the role play, it is seen as interfering, however someone has to do it.
Do NOT ask questions unless you are desperate, quite often they don't know the answers.

However, overall the leader and assessors were reasonably friendly, they did say they would let people know within 72 hours but promptly said there were no jobs available !!!!

Not really sure if MAGIC is the correct phrase to use, can think of plenty of others but won't go there now :D
  • I have just had a phone call to say I passed the Magic Event and have had the one-one interview which I have also passed. They said I will get an email explaining what happens next bvut does anyone know what will happen next? Does it mean I have got the job or is there another stage?
