My very own Money Saving Dilemma

So,
On Thursday I booked a flight from Manchester to Chicago for September 18th. The money left my account and so my balance went down. Come Saturday I have my tickets and have picked my seats on the plane. I notice then that the money has been returned to my account for some reason.
I called the bank today and they said there is no record of a transaction to STATravel at all, nothing has gone out and nothing has gone. But of course I know it has;the guy on the phone at the time took my card details and said 'yes, that's gone through'. So I then called STATravel after much deliberation to see that they had taken the money and all was bought and paid for and it has! She said there wasn't a problem at all, and there was no solution she could offer
What am I supposed to do?! I don't want the flight cancelled at the last minute and I have tried to pay for it, but the fact remains that I haven't paid for these flights!

Do you on line bank, would that prove anything?

if the airline says your ticket is valid your ticket is valid. The retailer has up to 6 years to claim the money from you for the purchase.
Chances are they will come back for the money when they realise the mistake...sounds like they may have done an authorisation for the amount, but then this expired, expect it to charge sooner or later.0 -
They will re-take the money in a few days I am sure, this happend to me with tickets the other month and they did then take the money.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

i would keep checking with them each day until the day you fly - as said they are saying its valid so you should be ok to fly, probably just a banking error xSealed Pot challenge" member #1342 Online Saver £60.00
