A friend and I are thinking of having a short break away.
A problem we both have is difficulty with walking (my mobility scooter is too big to take on holiday) so think a coach tour might be suitable. Need single rooms too.
Can anyone suggest/recommend a company that operates in the North West (Merseyside).
We don't mind where we go to in the UK mainland

My husband and I always use National Holidays, they are brilliant.
There is also Sheerings and David Urquart.
On the NH Website there are always last minute bargains (a box on the right of the home page.)
My Oh and I are going to Folkstone with a trip to Cambridge and also one to Bruge, 5 days, dinner bed and breakfast for £149 each
Never pay brochure price if you can. Look at the brochure and then ring them up to see what offers they have.
Sign up for their New leter and they send you a leaflet once a month with a 10% Wednesday, meaning if you book on that Wed then yo get that much of a holiday booked for the following month.
Lots of places where they go there are places where you can hire a motobility scooter.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
My daughter (who walks with a crutch) and I use a company called Lochs and Glens - http://www.lochsandglens.com/ - they just do trips round Scotland and have their own hotels. We had now had 5 trips with them and are going on another in April next year. The holidays are great value for money, really friendly and helpful staff and they are excellent with people with limited mobility. I think (but dont quote me!) that they dont charge a single room supplement either.Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0

I know you were asking about coach trips but I just wondered if cruises were way out of your budget? Lots of people with extremely limited mobility on the ship when we went round the British Isles (for 10 days) in June.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Hope you are right about Just Go as I have booked a 5 day trip "oop North" with them, never having used them before, but at the price [under £150] I could not even compete on petrol & hotel costs by DIY
Oh, and it is a 99p bar :beer:Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I can thoroughly recommend Leger holidays for coach travel. They have high quality vehicles and the staff are great..
They do a very good brochure..
see
http://www.leger.co.uk/Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
