I used to live in Dunmurry and it would most likely be Belfast Telegraph. Sorry about your situation but not sure if any way you can monitor this situation.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

Actually, the Church of Ireland is part of the Anglican faith and has priests, commonly known as ministers - so a Church of Ireland priest could well be the perfect person to speak to if she is/was a member of that denomination.
 See
 http://www.ireland.anglican.org/geninfo/whoweare.html
where it states: "The Church of Ireland... is a church with three orders of sacred ministry - Bishops, Priests and Deacons."
The OP would be well advised to ring the Belfast Telegraph on +44 (0)28 9026 4010 and ask the front office staff if they wouldn't mind looking up the woman's name in their family notices. Front office staff at papers are usually very helpful.
If you PM me the name, I can check the family notices in The Irish News archive for you on the off-chance that she is listed among them.0

why would she ask the front office staff? Most of them dont have access to the death notices computer records. Death Notices would be the best bet.....Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

Depends on the paper (I know some do) but I bow to your superior knowledge about the Tele.
Regardless, the first person most people get through to when they ring a paper is someone at the front office so it matters little and yes, they ARE usually the most helpful people at a paper.0

I emailed the Belfast Telegraph to see if they had any plans to publish death notices on their webiste, here's their very helpful reply:
Unfortunately we do not currently publish the Family Notices on the Belfast Telegraph Digital website. We have been implementing a number of changes across the website over the past number of months and do not at present have the resources to support the site both technically and from an administrative point of view.
We do plan however to reinstate the Family Notices over the next few months although I cannot confirm an exact date at present.
For details of a notice, you can contact Gillian Galbraith - g.gilbraith@belfasttelegraph.co.uk
I trust this is of assistance to you.
Hopefully she will "hang on" until they do reinstate the notices on the website.

Just a thought, if anyone reads the death notices in the Belfast Telegraph on a regular basis (maybe just to check they're not in their !!!!) and there's any women listed under a surname beginning with R, could they let me know.
I'm not keen on letting anyone know the lady's name as it'd just be my luck that they knew them.
Thanks.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Ms C, do understand your reticence regarding the lady's name but unfortunately there are females listed under R fairly regularly.
No easy solution I'm afraid, other than checking with the Belfast Telegraph staff regularly.0
