Camping in France - October

Thinking of packing up the tent and heading over to France with the kids during the half term (24-28 Oct).
Anyone have any campsite recommendations, presumably the more south the better.
Would prefer nice amenities (shop, showers, heated pool, electrical hook up, etc).

Most campsites will have shut down for the winter by then I'm afraid. They start winding down now and are usually all shut up for the winter by end Sept latest. That's my experience in South of France anyway.0

Most place along the South are closed (some close this week) Are you travelling by car? Head down and over the Millau Bridge

This campsite just up the road from us is open till end of October. http://campinglemoulindeseffres.fr/Les-hebergements Might be worth hiring a mobile home though, it can get cold. Plus how about a gite, winter rates can be good?0
