J Parkers - border collections any good?
I find J Parkers a bit hit and miss.
Bulbs are generally great, and I've had a couple of trees which although small are doing well. But I bought some thyme plugs which haven't done well despite my TLC!!
I'm considering being lazy with one of the borders and buying a border collection - does anyone have any experience of these?

The have an offer, to buy all three, and it works out at just under 50p a plant, although I realise it might be a year or two before they start to look full!

As these are modules, you may be looking at 3cm plants, some of which benefit from a season in coldframe before planting out.
As an alternative you could get end of season plants in containers and divide them. Most in 2L can be split into 4 plants.0 -
I have also found them hit and miss with the plug plants. I bought some last year and some were infested with tiny snails and in pretty poor condition when I got them. They also supplied me with fruit trees with the growing tip broken to fit them in the boxes!
I complained and they sent me replacements where they had them still in stock and refunded me. It is worth perservering and complaining if this does happen to you but phone - don't email - they don't respond to email.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
