Abbreviated first name on boarding pass

I was just wondering if thisis going to be a problem when checking-in.
Booked my flight tickets about 3 months ago and I booked in online yesterday and discovered that I'd booked the flight tickets in the name of 'Chris' instead of 'Christopher' and that's the name that shows on my printed flight ticket with which I'll be checking-in with. But my passport says 'Christopher'.
I put 'Chris' because that's the name I go by.
Should I expect a problem? Surely common sense would dictate that I'm obviously the same person.
Thank you.

Hi
I'm no expert but i think the name on the boarding pass must match the name on the passport you're travelling with.0 -
When you booked did it say something along the lines of "All passenger names must match those in the passport"
Who are you flying with?0 -
You might meet a jobsworth who sends you back for an exact match in your passport by the airline, depends if you want to risk it.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Wizzair, if that makes any difference..0 -
It may do ! Have you checked their T&C. Some airlines are a little more relaxed and let things through, some times you might just meet a fuddy duddy jobsworth who had a bad day:eek: hence they will ruin yours too.zygotic-mychi wrote: »Wizzair, if that makes any difference.. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
