Shared house cleaning rota

Options
Hiya

Does anyone have a good example of a cleaning rota for a shared house? Or know of any web sites to help us do one?

Cheers
Kit

we have one - 5 major rooms, 5 housemates (kitchen, bathroom1, bathroom2, living room, stairs/corridors). we all have to do one room every fortnight. the kitchen takes longer, but it's a long break between doing it. oh - and the person doing the kitchen has to put the bins out (or we forget!)

I would suggest a weekly rota, especially if there are more than 3 sharing.
How many shared rooms/areas do you have?

The house has 1 reception, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms and hall/stairs/landing. 4 people sharing it.

  • We usually spend Sundays with some loud music on cleaning and tidying, although we have to tidy all the time with 5 of us in the house. If we do it on a Sunday, we can all get into the spirit of things and everybody does a room and takes it in turns to swap around.
  • Sorry, but you're at university and can't even sort out a rota?!? How do you manage to study, do essays/coursework and go out - its all time management.
  • it seemps simple, you have 4 shared areas, and 4 people. i would suggest doing one each per week but take turns coz no-one wants to end up with teh bathroom every week! :)

  • we are 4 people sharing a kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet and hallway.
Our rota is weekly, one person does all of the floors, one person cleans all the kitchen surfaces, one cleans all the bathroom surfaces and one person is on a break! we all empty the bins + do other odd bits as and when needed

DId I say it was for me? Or that I am at University??
Nope - dont thing I did.

It for the place I work...... shared house for people with learning difficulties. They have to design one and I was looking for ideas to help them. They need to make informed decisions so I am providing them with lots of different options to assist them.

    Happy now??
