I just bought a hoover vented dryer from dixons last week. I've used it for the first time today and I am very very impressed with it for the price!

We were looking at an electrical clearance store before we spotted this one, and this same one was in there for over £200! ( There wasn't any tumbles for under that price there )

Anyway heres the link incase you wanted to take a look, but delivery was free and very quick - I got to pick the day just not the time, so chose Sunday as I'd be in all day anyway.

    Hope it helps.

i had finally found the dryer I was going to buy

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/bosch-classixx-wtv74105gb-vented-tumble-dryer-white-05307015-pdt.html

but now come accross a problem.

The units in the utility are 55cm deep, the machine is 62.5cm deep, can live with a little overhang as its in a utility etc

But just thinking, is the vent incorporated into these sizes or is there additional room required for the vent? (Sorry if that sounds a bit thick!)

If i need to leave another 10cm then it'll be stuck out so much that it'll be an obstructuion etc

Not something that they pointed out in Currys and Comet when i went and told them my dimensions etc!

The only smaller ones seem to be hotpoint and indesit which ive been told to steer clear of.

    Thanks,

Where will the hose be going? Do you have a hole in the wall it is going directly through? If not, then the hose will require extra space behind the dryer.

The Hole is to the right hand side of the utility so it will need to be a rear vent.

Im just not sure how much room i need to cater for this at the back, I fear i may have to get a hotpoint :rotfl:
