After watching many Dragons Den shows and pondering what things we could do with in todays world I wondered if anyone had ever invented anything that was successful?
Would be great to hear from people that have or want to do a similiar thing!!

There is a device which I am certain someone could make a fortune from, if they could find a way to make it work (and for a variety of reasons it won't be me). Something which would melt ice/snow on the ground before the front wheels of a vehicle pass over it.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I invented the chicago town stuffed crust but was a child and got bummed by the corporation0

I could do with some form of toilet in the car. LOL. Often stuck in the car for seven hours at a time with no loo in sight. Somehing under the seat would do. You could just push a button do a wee and close it up again. I would pay a fortune for one of those.0

Actually it'd be interesting to see if there are any funded product developers here - I have an absolutely belting product sketch, global market, trucking security, cheap to develop, uses existing technologies, low-tech, high value.0

I have some old (1970's) copies of an American magazine called "Science and Mechanics". They have a section in every issue called "what we need is" where readers have sent in some serious and some not so serious suggestions.
Some of the of them are as follows:
1. "What we need are sound-proof shower curtains for bathtub singers with lousy voices"
2. What we need is a windshield wiper for the rear windows of automobiles"
3. "What we need are car brakes that get as tight as soon as the driver does"
Out of the hundreds of these little ideas sent into the magazine by readers, there are several like No2 above which have become reality. Makes you think.0 -
Exactly, I do think anyone could literally come up with an idea as simple as some that get created.
I guess the inital post was to see if anyone has gone from the process of an idea to a full blown product.0 -
I haven't, but that is because I know how much work is involved and that I am not interested in starting and growing another business to manage the process. Which is a shame, as I have a simple product which can attract a premium price with a clearly defined market and retrofits easily!! Maybe if I get a quiet spot in February I can look at it again... But all I want to do is license out the IP, which means protecting it, which means patenting and all that jazz...0

I seem to have invented a purse that makes money disappear...money goes into the purse and within a matter of hours or days it completely disappears:(0
