X Box live ban whilst on holiday - please help

Last month I renewed our XBox Live account. We then went on holiday. When we returned my son and hubby went to log on and were advised that the account has been banned for violation of terms and conditions. I have spend ages looking into reasons for this. It would appear that people are banned as a result of chipping their system (which we havent), we bought it new and are not technical enough to know how to do it anyway. We have not and never would be abusive towards anyone. I am really angry as i am unable to get an answer from Microsoft about why we have been banned. Looking at other forums it would appear that it is a common thing. Does anyone know of any way I can appeal or be refunded my money. I couldnt really afford to payfor the service once nevermind twice. How do you find out if your account has been hacked into? Any help or suggestions would be greatly received. Sorry if this is not the place to ask such questions but i dont know what my rights are and this is normally the first place i run to for such answers. Many thanks

Are you 100% sure that the xbox hasnt been chipped, you dont need to do it yourself as you can pay somewone to do it. Also was it bought brand spanking new or was it a used 1. Going by whats on the xbox forums microsfot dish out the bans for a reason. You posted on the xbox forums(the M$ ones).

I'd have another conversation with your son - he was probably playing with hacks

Id actually forgot about the hacks, had your son or maybe husband been doing stuff in gmas you shouldnt be doing before you went away and the ban came in while you were away. Get the thumb screws out tonight then.
