I think people react differently to the creams and you have to find the one that suits you better. There are so many out there it is difficult to know which one to choose. The key though it to exfoliate properly before hand and to make sure you rub it in thoroughly and evenly.
Even though I agree you should look like your normal self I want some colour for my wedding. Its not just for the wedding but for our honeymoon afterwards!
I think, even though I'm against them, I will have a few sunbed sessions before our wedding to get a bit of colour. But that will be the only time I will use them.Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -
If you're naturally very pale and don't tan, then a fake tan probably won't really suit you, and won't look like 'you'. Ever seen Nicole Kidman or Cate Blanchett with a bronzed look? They both have amazing pale skin, and would look a bit odd with fake tan. Embrace the pale, I say!!! :T
As for the stuff you have used, it will definitely fade within four weeks, with the help of lemon juice and exfoliators, as others have said.
Have a fantastic day.

Dont worry Donna, it'll be off by the end of the week with a shower a day! It's crap stuff! I'd recommend St Moritz which is a cheap version of St Tropaz. Get the light one. It looks natural too.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

I found the Johnson one was really streaky - the Dove one however was really good, and much more natural - may be worth trying it.0

I didnt bother with fake tan for my wedding. I would never usually wear it and I dont tan naturally at all (I go red...). I think if you are naturally pale then a bit of bronzer on the shoulders and face is all you really need, although I didnt bother. One guest did ask why I hadnt had a fake tan like she did for her wedding, but I, and several other relatives, thought she looked like an oompa loompa in a wedding dress on her day (she idolises Jordan...). Fair enough if that is what she wanted but I wanted to look like me.
anyway, historically pale is posh!
(I second lemon juice and exfoilation for the streaks)
edited to add a pic of me looking pale and interesting...

I used a sunbed a couple of times a week, for 4 weeks before my wedding.
I'm so white I'm blue, but it just gave me a natural 'glow' (and a freckle face which I happen to really like!) and prepped my skin from burning when we went on honeymoon.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
