Help!!!!! Need some advice

Hello Everyone

I need help!!! I started using 'Johnson's Holiday Skin Moisturiser' to gradually build up a light tan before my wedding, as I was white as anything! my O/H applied it yesterday all over using proper gloves for a smooth finish and guess what, I woke up this morning and I have streaks on my feet and top of my arms and gone orange!!!!

I need some advice, do I continue to use it, as the tan supposed to build up after 3-4 days and risk it, or do I stop using it? I need help as I have never used any tanning products before....

Help!!!!

I am super pale and I used the Johnsons product. It made me look yellow. I stopped using it and gave to my sister in law. She is not naturally pale and it looked good on her.

I think if you are very pale, it can look very orange. However, I know this is of no practical help! The only other advice I can give is that the woman in the wedding dress shop said that 'ALL' fake tan will come off on the dress. (Because you get hot, rub of dress against skin etc)

However, I am a fake tan novice so I hope someone can offer some practical, useful help. All the best!
  • wished I never used this now!

I don't want my dress to be ruined! I do hope it fades before my wedding in less than 4 weeks!

    Thanks for the advice

  • Exfoliate & moisturise before useing stuff like this, and always rub the area LOADs to make sure you get an even covering.

It should fade in 4 weeks.

What's wrong with being your natural skin colour?

I have similar skin by the sounds of it. I've never tried to change it, even temporarily and definitely not for my wedding!

Perhaps a spray tan from a professional before the wedding would work?

I am fairly sure that it faded after about a week- I just took loads of baths and exfoliated really well. It is supposed to be a 'gradual' product so I don't think it will last that long?

I am fairly careful about my skin but I did pay for 4 sunbeds before the big day- I have never had them before or again. It just evened up my pale upper arms and darker lower arms.

    I wouldn't say I was tanned but I wasn't blue either!

    Good luck!

This might be a good reason NOT to go down the fake tan route - you wont look like "you" on your wedding day if you're several skin tones darker than normal.
Embrace the english rose look - a nice dusky pink blusher looks so pretty on pale skin!
