Talking to a friend who has claimed through Capital One and he said they offered him the difference of the applied charge and the new £12 fee that now applies. He accepted their offer.
However as the new recommended charge for credit cards is £12 will i have to accept this if offered or should i decline and go for the whole lot?

You may claim for the whole amount unless Capital One wish to go to court to prove that it costs £12 in charges for the offence.0
