Contracts (inc. Line Rental Saver) ending - only need 6 mths!

Hi all,

Am with BT on Line Rental Saver, which ends on the 16th, and o2 All Rounder on £12.25 (o2 customer). I am only in the country for 6 months (at my address) before I go traveling, so can't really justify another 12 months of Line Rental Saver. Can anyone recommend the best broadband package for just 6 months? I'm a regular internet user, but rarely if ever use my landline, and only have it to facilitate internet access. Thanks!

  • The month-to-month providers tend to be the best, and also the most expensive.

So you could weigh up the relative costs of the line rental + broadband with the likes of Zen, BE (not available everywhere), IDNET - all month to month - versus the early cancellation fees you'd incur if you stay where you are and terminate the contracts early.

Do also check - some BT contracts auto renew after e.g. 12 months, for another 12 months, so if you're on that option you'll want to make sure it's switched to a monthly obligation only so you can exit when you need to if you keep the line rental there.

Your LRS contract will revert to monthly at £13.90 when it ends.
Your BB at £12.50 is a good deal,as Mark says a monthly phone contract is what you need and IDnet charge £11.22 line rental at the moment on a monthly contract.
Don't forget when you do cancel your Broadband there will be a £25 cancellation fee.
