Every day, AVG begins scanning my hard drive for viruses.
Where is the option to stop it from doing this? It always downloads a small file and always starts a scan.
This is highly annoying.

The annoying little file it downloads everyday is the virus pattern update

Why not reschedule the test for a different time?
I have mine set to scan over tea time.....which because I'm not using the pute also means it scans a lot faster and is usually completed by the time I come back on.

Anyway just double click the AVG Icon then click on scheduler then on scheduled tasks then click on "test plan in basic mode" then edit schedule and change or disable from there.0
