Bit of benefit advice please? IS/HB

I'm a single parent with a 2 year old son and am also just over 16 weeks pregnant.
I left work when my son was 9 months old as I couldn't cope with childcare costs and travel costs aswell as suffering with post natal depression.

I currently claim HB (2 room rate), CT Benefit, IS and Child Tax Credits.

I am due to begin studying with the Open University on 1st October.
Guidelines for the course say around 16 hours a week are required for study.

I was granted funding for the course (the course fee), which didn't come into my hands at all.
I don't get any form of student loan.

I was just wondering if studying with the Open University will affect my benefits at all?

No, it will not affect your benefit entitlement.

Am always intrigued as to how a 'single parent' can become pregnant ...

Did your mam not tell you pet,
Would you like me to PM you with the details:D

Don't forget to claim maintenance when the 2nd child is born.

She told me about a stork, but I don't see many of them about so it does make me wonder where all these little ones come from. Do they give them out at the benefit office? ;)

People like you are really not welcome on the boards, keep going and you will no doubt be banned. Therefore when you do need help you wont be able to get any form the wealth of information on here.

Have you actually read the forum rules.
If your mother told you it was a stork, then you my friend have inherited her ignorance, now just shup up.

OP, dont take offence, the negatives are not even worth reading so just dont read them when yu see their name or just put them on your ignore list. 99.99999% of people will help so please dont go away.
