Problem logging into sites

I have a strange problem with my new laptop in that on many sites including mse you have to log on numerous times before you can post, i will log in and then it doesn't show ive logged in or only does so after refershing but then it will make you log in again.

Anyone know why this is?

Oh im not sure, i remember boxes coming up before but not sure what i ticked. Im using IE9.

oh well in IE, try this, click tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete > Settings > User name.
