It has an interior that is frighteningly similar to the equivelant VW or Audi.

That would be my theory. Skoda can barely keep up with demand these days (is it a year wait for a Yeti?) and as such cars were appreciating at one time so perhaps bought on that theory that it would be in demand and it is not?0
