Minion back, appearing a little better/more mobile as she was taken swimming by KH. Currently planted on sofa munching on apple whilst I watch Seasick Steve on TV

Didn't mention that I got a couple of ear piercings yesterday, so have slightly tender earries. I'm a bit tired after realising last night that I should have got one side done this week and the other next week. :wall: Trying to convince Minion that going to bed would be a very good idea, but she isn't buying it as yet. I shall continue to try this approach, but psycho-mum-go-to-bed-before-I-make-you-attend-the-jazz-club might be coming out soon.
Not too much detail so far on the playing, basically as house band, the job is to provide support for visiting acoustic acts playing covers of loads of different genres/artists and maybe get some gigs in our own right if it goes to plan. Still looking for rhythm guitar and there are a couple of drummers lined up, etc, but I've got a bunch of things to learn off by heart (which shouldn't take long, especially as they are Beatles ones for the first gig - I am the Walrus, All You Need Is Love and a Day In The Life so far - any other suggestions of favourite ones for a party atmosphere - except Hey Jude?)
and even if I only end up playing shaky egg for a bunch of numbers, it's still sounding like a brilliant way to improve musically, make friends and have a laugh.
Oh, and there tends to be men at these kind of occurrences, so I hear, anywayI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

JoJo - OMG what a result! Well done you clever lady! You so deserve something good. Hope Minion's crutches are beautiful after their decoration and let us know how you get on at the dr's appt, it's very easy to put your own needs aside when you are wrapped up in your kids buisness.
We had a lovely time at the Lion King this afternoon. But I stupidly wore my suede sandals and it was pouring when I came out of the tube
.
Decluttering a glass of wine while we discuss buying DD1 a car:eek:

I'm in this week. Back quite a bit better and so is my mood, so should achieve more.
Thanks for all the support last week guys, it really helped. Got a small bit of good news, my organisation wlll be providing my family and I with basic health care as of next month, chiropractors are included
(hooray) so I'll be able to reclaim up to £150 per year!!
Family session saw to LR yesterday so will just clear hall tomorrow. Glad it's only that as I'm at work tomorrow and it's going to be a long, draining day.
Motivation on RoD has wained over the hols - we've just been too tired on an evening to face it. Must get back into the swing...
Welcome to all the newbies and hugs to everyone who needs them.0 -
Jojo congratulations.
LW as you don't have a furry friend with you at the moment, Ozzie offers remote hugs, cuddles and supporting vibes.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
I listed 10 items on Ebay. I have never listed that many in one go! i have 7 watchers :j Hopefully they will sell, and then I will list some more. Does anyone know what the limits are on listing? Am I correct in thinking I can only do so many in a month? (I have 23 stars).
Hugs & spoons to those that need them. I may keep some sticks, to distract DH's BD
Night night all0 -
greenbee take it easy. Dog fur will be there when you get back. It's not urgent. Rest and accumulate spoons before Orlando.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500

Greenbee - try and take it easy - is OH going to Orlando with you?
yep. I don't think the consultant would have agreed to it otherwise. My GP isn't overly enthusiastic. I need to have a look at my diary and block in a few more breaks. OH and I have breaks together where possible, and everyone knows I need to get out for short walks and will need rest. I'm not sure they realise how much. I'm not sure OH does either. In fact I'm not sure I really understand how to deal with this, although more research is helping.
Sorry you're finding it hard not going back to work. Try making some plans so you don't feel at too much of a loose end, and maybe structure your day like a work day.
Dog has been grumbling at the lack of activity but at least it is quiet tonight so she isn't pacing about downstairs.0 -
greenbee be careful. Lots of rest needed. Sending Ozzie hugs and spoons - he had a wonderful day on Wednesday. If OH is now going with you, may I suggest baby oil for relaxing massage, and relaxing I-Pod music for de-stressing.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500
