Which type of wooden floor for lounge/diner?

Hi it was the bitter chocolate. I had the natural at the last house and my mum had the coffee in her kitchen and to be honest they're all lovely but i just had my heart set on the dark wood.

I have solid maple on my floors downstairs and love it. It's quite pale, so the colour has darkened a bit in the 4 years we've had it, but this is part of the appeal for me
