For years now my wife has been using Next Catalogue for various items and while looking at a bill a few months ago I noticed there was a payment protection charge (£2.99) which had been applied. When I wrote to them I realised this charge had been applied monthly to my bill for around 10 years (ok I know we should have noticed before) and they said this was part of the agreement from the start. I also asked them for a copy of the agreement I or my wife signed and they said it would have been done over the phone! I have read many of the forums and information and most of the PPI info applies to credit cards or loans but this is purely a monthly charge on my bill from Next when the balance is not cleared off. I am looking for some advice on if and how I can pursue this as I have no credit agreement. I have obviously now cancelled this agreement. I look forward to any advice you can offer.

Hiya
If you still have the account number details, then you can make a reclaim, it does not matter if it were a loan, credit card, store card, catalogue or so on on the ppi.
I would make them aware that you were told it was part of the package.
I note you said they stated it was sold over the phone, I would also be inclined to ask them to send you the proof for this.
Step 3 - Reclaim questionnaire below.
Complete/send and keep a copy for yourself.
They normally have 8 weeks, but if they require more time, they will let you know, good luck.
