    I mean they didn't pay - they now have to. There are other ways of paying other than direct debit

    What I dont understand is that after the first month when there was not enough to cover the first mortgage payment, surely the following months there would have been more added to the funding account to cover what you believed was the mortgage payment...? 5 months payments in a row could not be missed? Hmmmm.
