    Definately a scam.
I get them regularly for banks I don't even have accounts with.

Me too!!! sometimes if you read the e-mail and then read it properly again, you will find bits of bad grammer, or something that doesn't look quite right!!!

I have e-mailed one bank regarding these e-mails, since the bogus e-mail uses a @(banks name) . com or .co.uk surely the bank can put a stop to people using part of their web address?

Make sure you send it to the bank in question so they're aware of it and def don't click on it. I had another paypal one last week.

Most ask for suspicious emails to be forwarded to them.

Paypal ask you to forward them to spoof@paypal.com
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • I got a phishing email today too supposedly from a bank.

I received it at an email address I never use for my online banking accounts and not only that the spelling was apaling (sic).
I guess I might have been tempted to click the link but the fact that I don't have an account with them quite put me off!

Methinks those who like to phish ought to conduct their research a little more thoroughly :)
