I am not sure of budget, but would be looking at sub £120 if possible.
I want it to be wireless and of course cheap ink replacement but not comprimising on quality of print because I would like to print photographs.
I would be interested in a all in one i.e. scanner but this isnt crucial.
Any recommendations?

I can only speak from experience - I have a Canon Pixma MP620 all in one with separate inks. Had it 2 years (£130) and it's never been any trouble and the inks are really cheap on ebay. If you are using it for photos then you do need to use cartridges with the best quality ink if the photos are for keeps. The MP620 has been superceded now, but I would buy a Canon again for approx the same money.0

If you enter the model number of a printer in to amazon search, there are usually user reviews, which are useful even if you do not buy from there
Check for prices and for the availability of compatibles as well
I run an Epson R2880 on compatibles and the photo output is virtually identical to when using genuine inks, I haven't seen any major differences.
With photos, the paper is as important as the printer and the ink used0 -
PCPro has Canon on their A list - the MG6150 is sub £100 if you google it. It is wireless and has a scanner.
Canon ink is expensive, but you get a full set with it originally (unlike some manufacturers who only give you starter packs). You can of course get cheap generic cartridges, but irrespective of the manufacturer, if you use the cheapest you would eventually run into blockage probs - I do use better quality generics and occasionally use originals when I see a special offer etc.
I see more blockages with Epson printers, but who knowa maybe Epson users may use cheaper ink?0 -
Funny enough that is one I have kept returning to. Use Brothers at work and although they are lasers I am still impressed with their durability.
Thank you
I mentioned Brother on another thread but was hit by a number opfnegative posts about the cartridges feeding the sunk in print heads by a feed pipes which are liable to blockages if not used regularly.
I will look for the thread.
I know both the Cannon (61(2)50) and the Epson PX720WD mentioned here are recurrent suggestions.
I am a Cannon fan and the Inks for my out of production model are readily available at a range of prices on Amazon/Ebay."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
