OK, so its *looking* like we'll be exchanging contracts next Monday. How long did it take you between exchange and completion? Just need to be prepared for the worst :rotfl:

When we sell, we normally go a week from Friday to Friday. If we don't exchange on the Friday, it normally gets pushed into the next week but we still complete on the planned Friday.
This last time we bought, the man at the top insisted on four weeks. Why, I don't know as he was selling without a chain. The other spanners he kept throwing in though, I wasn't surprised. I WAS surprised that he actually completed on the day though!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You've just reminded me to call my solicitor. But it's nearly 6 o'clock :wall:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I am really interested in this because, according to everyone in my chain, we are completing on Friday. HOWEVER we have not exchanged yet!
I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown, as are our buyers! :wall:
Apparently, everyone is ready to exchange now but the FTB at the beginning of the chain are borrowing from a small lender, not one of the High St Banks. Solicitors need a faxed confirmation that the funds will be ready for Friday - presumably as there are less than 3 days left - but have not received this all day.
Everyone is saying "dont worry, everyone is going for Friday" .......
