I opened an alliance and leiscester bank account as they were offering an incentive of £50.00 but I never received the money when i contact them they say they are looking into it, this is since august 2006
has anyone else had this problem

You let it drag on for 5 months?!?!
A&L, like many financial institutions, have a complaints procedure on their website. Indeed, to completely exhaust it takes only 8 weeks.
I suggest ringing them on the number below. I've only had one problem with a referral (under their refer-a-friend scheme) and it was resolved the very same day.
