So far I have flights for 221pp inc baggage with BMI - EMA to Malaga - it is do-able to get half board within the budget. taking it that you won t compromise on the Sea view but will you look at BB

There are cheaper flights but times on BMI are good 10.25 going out return at 3pm.. Ryanair is cheaper but easily checkable .. Ryanair gets back at 22.15

Sorry Ponymad I have been busy. I would prefer Fuengirola or at a push Torremolinos. Somewhere easy to access by public transport.

Of the only hotels that i have found which would fit the bill on optional sea view rooms and 4 star are The Beatriz Palace Spa, the Hotel Florida and the Angela so far . The Yarramar would be perfect but they do not have any rooms until 2nd Oct and then it is outside budget. On the hotels own websites I cannot get a price for the seaview but think most rooms will have at both BP and Florida.
The exception being the Angela which is priced at 1658E with HB and Side seaview - so would be within budget that is thro their own website

Personally I would email the hotels and ask them what they can do. they should respond pretty quickly. Ask if you book a room would you be able to upgrade on arrival and what would the additional cost be... I would also ask what the cost is to upgrade in resort to HB from BB (both the first two have free Buffet breakfast inc)

You are whether you are being unrealistic.. I think you may need to compromise either on price (prob you wont want to do this and i agree you would think this was enough out of season for a week in Spain) The Seaview - I get the impression this is not optional either... or 4star and in Spain I would def consider this as the requirements to get to 4 star are quite bizarre and you may not need these facilities.

Had nt check Trip Adv but when I just did all 4 hotels are in the top 5 for Fuengirola! You could use their search fac to see if you can imporve on the costs as the most difficult thing is finding which hotel would fit the bill.

Cannot offer experience on Malta and as there are F optins not looked again at Torre, but there is some choice from memory Pez Espada would fit bill

If you can fly from somewhere other than EMA your flights should reduce in cost.
EMA is primarily a cargo handling airport (hence the huge number of DHL/UPS/delivery depots nearby) so commercial flights are fewer in number and therefore always in demand. Which means the companies can charge more. If you can get to Birmingham/ Doncaster there should be a drop in flight price which might help your budget

This does nt help much for Doncaster where flights are very restricted Charter only mostly... the only option to Malaga within dates is 27th Tues return Oct 4th ... and nothing to Malta

Not checked Birmingham - could offer better but OP not looking at this for now.
