I run a small windscreen replacement business in Hertfordshire and North London.
Recently we've been bombarded with emails about a 'job offer'. Some of these emails are asking us if the offer is legitimate while others are informing us that somebody is using our identity to scam people.
Example:
http://antifraudintl.org/showthread.php?t=57756
I have responded to that thread, but what else could/should I be doing?
TIA
(Mods: please move to the right section if necessary - couldn't see where the subject would fit in)

If the replies you are getting from interested prospective employees, simply respond that the massage they have received is spam, not from or authorised by your company. You could even advise them to get some decent anti-spam software (politely of course).
Thank them for their interest in your company at this time, but politely inform them that you have no current vacancies at present, and consider advising them where you do actually advertise your genuine vacancies whenever you do have them.
It's also good business practise to respond as these may be your potential customers one day.
If the enquires are coming from overseas (it looks like the spam originates in the US by the terminology) or people that you would not employ or supply, just hit the delete key
If an ongoing issue, simply set up an email filter to automatically delete the annoying emails (perhaps with an auto response)."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
