Hey all
I have an Itunes library on my old laptop - purchases and imported cds. How do I transfer this onto my new laptop? Itunes help says I can transfer Itunes purchases but I can't see it saying anything bout imported music, but I'm not very techie!
Cheers

I've never come across a simple solution to this age-old problem.
Is the full library on your iPod?
If so, you can persuade it to transfer its contents to the new laptop using free third party software.
I've never done it, but the reviews suggest it works, and cnet is a reputable download site:

Slightly dated but still useful:-

all your mp3 files should also be available in windows - you should just be able to locate all mp3 files - do a search ... *.mp3 ... then you can select all of these and transfer them to a memory stick or something. Your purchases from itunes you can download direct from the itunes store account you already have0

Use itunes home sharing and as long as your new laptop is using the same itunes account you can move all your songs to the new laptop via your wireless network. Its easy to set up and use
