Well Ok there is a bit of news I have decided to turn down the promotion and before anyone says it no I'm not mad. The reason is I am Bi-polar and to be fair even with meds I struggle work are well aware of the situation and don't seem pleased I have turned it down. The situation every so often even on meds my whole life collapses and I mean my WHOLE life and I don't want to take the people I am supposed to be managing down with me and I know eventually this will happen. I can't be resposible for that many people so I am going to use the only coping stratagy I know and not take it. To be fair to think of it this is the reason I have no boyfriend, many friends and am scared of the day my daughter leaves to either go uni or get her own place, but well that's a whole other issue. So there's me morbid and all lol.My personal make life better challenge:

hi - only you know what's right for you. I struggle with ordinary depression if there is such a thing and am secretly scared of having too high powered a job in case it all crashes down around me and I get burned out so do secretly of course know where you are coming from. It's a shame tho - but what a confidence boost to have been offered the role.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

AwwThat made me feel so touched. You're welcome. That's what I love about these forums - I am annoymous but when I feel up the creek without a paddle- and share it - someone always comes along and posts some encouragement. Or like this week I went back to work after a period of sick following an operations - and I had a load of good luck messages. It really does lift your spirits.
I also find that people on the forum :Ahelp me with keeping things in perspective. Sometimes having a rant also gets things out of my system that otherwise would bug me for days. I then find it easier to let negative thoughts and feelings go. I'm also often humbled by the diaries I read and lurk on - and realise that my life is a lot better than I thought too or at least more normal which helps me be grateful and therefore more positive. :T Win win all round
Hope you are having a good weekAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
