Thomas Cook luggage

Hello All,

A few questions about travelling with Thomas Cook.

1) My paperwork says we can take 20kg of luggage - I assume this is in total for the four of us?

2) I can find no mention of hand luggage requirements. Is there a weight limit on this per person, or per party travelling?

3) What are the rules on carrying liquids in hold luggage and hand luggage now?

Can you tell I haven't flown for years?:rotfl:

I would have thought it would mean 20kg per person (apart from infants) and hand luggage with TC last time I went with them was 7kg per person (excluding infants)

Best to call TC to double check though..

it will be 20kg each but ring thomas cook to confirm and ask what size and weight your hand
luggage is

It might depend on whether the OP has booked a package holiday or flight only.

I don't think TC have a limit of 7kg, it's 5kg.
Also take note of the pretty small maximum dimensions, it's way smaller than any other airline I've flown with.

Hand Baggage
All passengers receive a hand baggage allowance of 5kgs when travelling on a Thomas Cook Airline flights. This cannot be combined together with other passengers or with any hold baggage.
Each person is allowed 1 item only. The size of the item cannot exceed 43 cm x 28 cm x 23 cm (17 x 11 x 9 inches) in size as recommended by Thomas Cook Airlines.For information on items that are not allowed in your hand baggage please click here.
Childs Trunki Cases are accepted as hand baggage as long as this is associated to a child travelling. This cannot exceed 5kgs in weight. If the weight limit does exceed this the Trunki will have to be checked into the hold. This will then be part of your hold baggage weight limit.
Please note, at some UK airports a charge for a Gate Bag will now be applied. This means if customers arrive at the boarding gate with more then one item of hand baggage (excluding airport shopping) the extra item/s will be taken and put into the hold. There is a fee of £40.00 per bag that will be charged

We have booked a package holiday so it would appear from the link supplied we get 20kg hold allowance each (which can be combined) and 5kg hand luggage each (which can't be combined)
