Trying to change my signature

As my debt has gone down, I have changed my signature to reflect this.
However I have just tried to do it again and a message has popped up saying 'As a new poster, you cannot post links' and it won't let me change my signature.
I am not particularly a new poster and I am not trying to post a link. I just want to change my signature, especially as I will be debt free soon
Any ideas anyone?
